Dataswyft Brings Back Eat2Give Initiative on CheckD Data Wallet Platform in Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Building on the success of its inaugural campaign, Dataswyft is proud to announce the return of the Eat2Give project on the CheckD Data Wallet platform in Malaysia. This innovative initiative continues to unite food enthusiasts with local businesses, all while supporting crucial community causes.

This edition of Eat2Give partners with the Society for the Severely Mentally Handicapped, Selangor and Wilayah Persekutuan (SSMH), an organisation dedicated to providing rehabilitation services for children and youths with severe mental and physical disabilities since 1984.

The Campaign

The campaign will continue its successful format using the CheckD Data Wallet – a secure and sophisticated digital tool designed for private information management. Participants can claim their Eat2Give support badge through the CheckD Data Wallet (available at https://www.checkd.io/eat2give and use it at participating food merchants in Subang Jaya. For each badge validation, merchants will contribute RM5 to support SSMH’s essential rehabilitation programs.

SSMH’s operational costs amount to RM35,000 per month, and the organization relies heavily on public donations to continue providing essential services for children and youth with special needs.

SSMH’s Reaction

We are extremely excited to partner with Eat2Give as a model for community fundraising. It provides an excellent opportunity for us to connect with local businesses and conscious consumers to create a lasting impact,” said Fadillah Binti Mohd Yakin, President of SSMH.

Local Merchant Involvement

Mei Ying, owner of The Great Cafe, a participating food merchant, expressed: "It feels great to give back, and with this initiative, we can make every meal meaningful just by doing what we do best."

Professor Irene Ng, Group CEO of Dataswyft, remarked: "The success of our first campaign demonstrated the power of combining technology with community action. We are honoured to continue this journey and support SSMH's mission to provide rehabilitation services for those who need it the most."

Community Impact

The collaboration between Dataswyft, TheBFG.team, and SSMH continues to strengthen the community by connecting residents and businesses while supporting crucial local causes. The campaign will officially launch on 17th February. Dataswyft and TheBFG Team are also seeking further partnerships with charities, non-profit organizations, and merchants for future editions of Eat2Give.
