What is the HATLAB Studio?
HATLAB Studio is a virtual space where the Self-Sovereign Data Community gather to design, plan and co-create innovative data wallets, ecosystems, campaigns, missions, solutions and data assets.
Why did we start the studio?
Creating an ecosystem has loads of stakeholders and require multiple types of expertise - Data, Product, Marketing, Technical and Commercial. As we roll out the fourth ecosystem in our network, we realised that the team was having multiple conversations with multiple people across multiple stakeholders. The studio is a better way to coordinate and manage all these conversations. It also allows our partners and clients to learn from one another and to incubate new initiatives. We also have new clients coming in to ask about data wallets and solutions and we act as a matchmaking service to connect our clients with our partners but also help manage the programs if they wish so that all our ecosystems have the best chance of success.
Is there a membership fee?
Yes there is, because we need to allocate time and effort to support our clients and partners. But 80% of membership fees can be used for a network license and there are special rates for SIGs (special interest groups). There are tutorials and tools in the studio and you get to hangout with cool people so we think we’re worth it. :)
Is the studio also where research is done?
No. The studio is mainly for co-creating and growing ecosystems. Other HATLAB initiatives are coming up in 2024 - HATLAB Institute. Watch this space!
What can I expect from being part of HATLAB?
